How we approach access on this website.
Our commitment
ReadApptive exists to make reading easier for people who find digital text hard to read. A website for that product has an obligation to be readable and usable itself, and we treat accessibility as part of how this site is built rather than something added at the end.
What we build toward
We develop this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, as our engineering standard. In practice that means the site is built to be operated entirely by keyboard, to have a clearly visible focus indicator, to use real headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate it, to meet contrast requirements, to remain usable when text is enlarged, and to respect a reduced-motion preference.
We do not use an accessibility overlay, toolbar, or automated remediation widget. Those products sit on top of a site rather than fixing it, and they are not a substitute for accessible markup.
Where we are
This site has not yet completed a formal accessibility audit, so we are not claiming conformance to any WCAG level. We are describing the standard we build to and test against, not certifying a result. When an audit has been carried out, this page will say so plainly and record what it found.
Telling us about a problem
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to hear about it — a specific report is far more useful than a general one. If you can, tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and any assistive technology or browser settings you use.
Email support@readapptive.com. We aim to respond to accessibility reports promptly and to fix confirmed problems rather than explain them away.
Known limitations
We would rather name gaps than imply there are none. At present:
- No formal audit has been completed, and no assistive-technology testing with real users has taken place.
- A published contact route for accessibility reports is not yet in place, which is itself an accessibility gap.
This page will be updated as those change, rather than left to imply more than is true.
